China4Future internship program, its officers, directors, agents, staff, representatives, contractors, affiliates, and heirs (collectively “China4Future”) and the undersigned participant (“Participant”), understand and agree to the terms and conditions stated below relating to Participant’s participation in China4Future’s internship program (“Program”) and Participant’s association with, Easting Venture Group LLC, the company providing the internship (“Company”)
I, the undersigned (and/or my parent if I am under 18), an applicant to Chin4Futures intern program, am aware that my participation is contingent upon my understanding and agreement to the conditions listed below.

1. I agree that all the information provided in my application is true, and acknowledge that any false or misleading information may lead to immediate dismissal from the program.
2. I agree to be responsible for all fees and costs associated to the program costs, international travel, visas, insurance, and health related expenses.
3. I agree to follow the early departure/cancellation/refund policy listed below if I withdraw from the program.
4. I agree that the fees listed on china4future.com are subject to change due to program changes and other unforeseen circumstances.
5. I understand that if a program is cancelled due to insufficient participation or unforeseen circumstances, I can choose another program and pay or receive the difference of the new program fee. However, if I choose to cancel, China4Future is responsible for reimbursing the amount of the program fee only. Application fee, transportation, health, and travel expenses are not refundable.
6. I agree that it is my responsibility to obtain immunizations and required travel documents in order to enter China. I shall hold China4Future harmless in the case where I may not obtain the necessary documents and understand that the inability to obtain the necessary documents does not constitute grounds for withdrawal with refund.
7. I agree to communicate with my program host and China4Future’s staff to try and resolve any questions abroad. In the event that services and accommodations outlined are not met due to causes beyond the control of China4Future, I understand that I will give sufficient notice and time for all efforts to be made to provide comparable services and accommodations.
8. I understand that China4Future reserves the right to dismiss a participant from a program who is deemed, by China4Future, the program host, or local government, to be a danger to him/herself or others. In the event of such dismissal, China4Future shall not be held responsible for any transportation, charges or any other expenses incurred by the participant, and shall not be required to return any fees paid by the participant.
9. I agree that in the event that I do not complete the term of my contract, for any reason, China4Future shall not be obligated to refund any part of the program fee.
10. I agree to waive any and all claims against China4Future arising from any death, injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, irregularity, or expense to person or property incurred from the use of any vehicle, strikes, war, weather, sickness, terrorist acts, government restrictions or regulations, or arising from any act of omission of any airline, railroad, bus company, steamship, sightseeing, hotel or any other service or transporting company, firm, individual, or agency.
11. I agree that I am in good physical and mental health and that I have no special medical or physical conditions, nor any special needs or requirements, which would impede participation in the program. If I suffer from any health or other conditions that would create a risk for me or others while abroad, I shall not apply or withdraw from the program.
12. I agree full responsibility for reading and understanding all materials made available that relate to safety, health, legal, political, environmental, cultural and religious customs and conditions in my host country and community.
13. I release China4Future from any financial obligations or liabilities that I may incur or any damage or injury to me or the person or property of others that I may cause while participating in this program.
14. I agree that if I have special dietary requirements and/or food and medical allergies, I will take complete responsibility for my food and medicine intake.
15. I understand that China4Future is not responsible for any costs arising from the loss or theft of any of my personal property during this program.
16. I understand that all travel before, during and after the program is at my own risk.

Program Fee Payment

China4Future charges a program fee to cover the expenses associated with providing you a customized and value-adding internship experience. A deposit of $200 is to be paid within 5 business days after you are accepted into the program, and upon receipt of the deposit China4Future is obligated to exercise best efforts at placing you into a desired position. Failure to pay the deposit within the specified time will result in automatic withdrawal from the program. Upon acceptance and confirmation of a placement, you are required to pay the rest of the program fee (full program fee minus the deposit) within 5 business days. Non-receipt of payment will result in automatic withdrawal from the program and subject to cancellation and refund policy.

China4Future will require an expedited application fee if you apply less than 3 months before your desired departure. Applications received 8-12 weeks prior to desired departure will be charged $100. Applications received less than 8 weeks before the desired departure date will be charged $150.

Application Process

Once we receive your completed application packet, we will contact you to set up a 45 minutes phone interview. This will give us a better chance to know you. The purpose of this interview is to understand you, and also to give you a chance to find out more about us and the program. We will carefully review your application to decide what the best choice that the program can offer. We will inform you about our decision within 5 business days. We give one week for you to consider and formal acceptance shall be received within 3 business days thereafter. Upon acceptance of your application, we will send you an acceptance letter (typically email) with your deposit invoice. After the deposit is paid, we will proceed to the placement efforts. After we extend you a placement offer, upon your acceptance and confirmation of this offer, we will invoice you for the rest of the program fee (full program fee minus deposit). The application process is complete upon receipt of the program fee in full amount.

Placement Process

China4Future will email you a preparation kit about 4-6 weeks prior to your departure date. This includes useful tips, advice, and information to prepare you for the internship. The final details of your program will be emailed to you at our earliest convenience with confirmation of placement details, airport pickup, housing, emergency details, and so son.

Program Postponement

China4Future understands certain situations arise and you may need to postpone your program. If so, you must send your specific request explaining the reason for the change in writing to China4Future at your earliest convenience. China4Future will try to offset any penalty costs; however we often incur administrative and in-country expenses for not being able to fill your placement. To offset these expenses, a non-refundable postponement fee of $50 will apply to your account. Once you decide to postpone we encourage you to call China4Future to discuss the best solutions.

Program Extensions

If you are interested in extending your placement once it has begun, you can add extra days or weeks, so long as there is available space for you. The additional cost is prorated based on the fee you originally paid. China4Future will be able to confirm all details.

On-Program Early Departure

If you choose to leave your program early, you must notify China4Future. China4Future will not be responsible for any additional costs you may incur because the early departure. Program fees are not refundable in this case.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

China4Future makes time and financial commitments to your placement prior to your program start date, requiring us to implement a refund policy. China4Future is not responsible for any transportation, travel, visa, and/or heath related fees that may have incurred. If cancellation of pro-gram is required, we must receive a notice in writing. Expediting fees, if applied, are not subject to any refunds. If the participant withdraws, fees will be charged accordingly*:

31-59 days prior to preferred departure date 10% of the total program fee

15-30 days prior to preferred departure date 20% of the total program fee

1-14 days prior to preferred departure date 30% of the total program fee

*NO refunds will be provided if a participant withdraws after the program start date. No deposit will be refunded after acceptance of a placement. Please refer to the explanation about the refund policy for the Platinum Program in the Dates and Rates section under the Program Details menu. The above refund schedule does NOT apply to the Platinum Program.

If for reasons beyond control China4Future fails to consummate the placement at any point after the participant accepts the placement offer, or it cancels the placement at any point in time, or the internship position offered is measurably and significantly different from that described in the offer letter, and therefore causes the participant to exit the program, it will notify and discuss with the participant at the earliest convenience with detailed explanations, and fully refund the program fee (including deposit) within 30 business days after the participant exits the program for the reason listed hereinabove.

By signing below, I affirm that I have read and agree to the above Terms and Conditions, which are applicable to the China4Future internship program and are governed by the law of the United States of America.
